At Rooted, we’ve set out to change how people think about simple food.

About rooted

When did food get so complicated? Hidden additives, processed oils, and low-quality ingredients have crept into nearly every meal – even at fast-casual spots that promised a better alternative to the paper-bag lunch. Convenience won, but transparency got lost along the way.

That’s why we launched Rooted.

Rooted is a fast-casual restaurant built on simplicity and trust. Every item on our menu is made with 7 household ingredients or fewer (oils and spices included) and every ingredient is listed right on our public menu. No hidden additives, no confusing nutritional packets, no guesswork. Just real food you can actually identify.

That makes Rooted a natural fit for Whole30, keto, gluten-free, and vegan diets, as well as for anyone managing food allergies or intolerances. And honestly? You can taste the difference.

Come try us out at NYC’s Madison Square Park, or order through any major delivery platform.

Our Mission

We believe that when ingredients are thoughtfully and carefully prepared, less can be so much more. That’s why every item on our menu is made with 7 ingredients or less and every single ingredient is listed openly for all to see.

It’s important to us that what you see is what you get: our food is delicious, honest, and intentional.

Our Story

In today’s world, it’s hard to avoid meals filled with hidden additives, processed oils, and ingredients you can’t pronounce. We couldn’t find a kitchen we could trust, so we built one ourselves.

Rooted began as a pop-up in the summer of 2023, serving meals made with 7 ingredients or less and bringing radical transparency to an industry where it’s often missing. To hold ourselves accountable, we started documenting the realities of building and operating a restaurant on TikTok and Instagram, giving people an unfiltered look behind the scenes.

What followed was something we never expected: a passionate community, 2 brick-and-mortar locations, more than 200,000 Bounty Boxes sold, and a growing movement proving that simple, honest food belongs in fast casual.
